PERSONAL TRAINING WITH SHEA

I love personal training! I not only love the transformative effect it has on the person I am working with, but I love the close relationships that I end up building with each client. In fact, some clients of mine have been with me for 10 years+ and throughout our time together have become some of my closest friends. 

 

I find personal one-on-one training a more intimate form of training. It is intimate because we are spending 1-3 hours together each week where I am 100% focused on you and your body. This focused time together allows me to pinpoint your body’s strengths, weaknesses and imbalances. It’s also a time where I get to learn about you as a person. 😊

As your trainer, I have two main priorities: #1 Get you results and #2 Create a fun, positive and supportive experience for you along the way. With my experience of training over a hundred+ clients, I have learnt that each person and each body I come into contact with is very unique. Recognizing this unique make-up, I begin with a personalized fitness assessment to help me achieve priority #1 and #2. This assessment is designed to not only study your body mechanics and overall fitness, but to also learn about your personal time constraints, previous injury history, workout history and desired goals. I then take this important information and build you a new custom program every 4-6 weeks, helping you to constantly progress in a safe yet challenging manner. There are no cookie cutter programs offered here, but a plan that is specifically formulated to YOU. 

 

This whole process is very much a team effort. So with that being said, my ideal client is someone who is motivated, dedicated and ready to trust me. I need you to be 100% committed to our training sessions. And my promise to you in return is to match your effort by giving you my 100% back. You know what they say, teamwork makes the dream work! ✨I can guide you, teach you proper form technique and build you a great program, but it will not work if you do not fully commit to the process. As Albert Einstein says, “I must be willing to give up what I am in order to become what I will be.”
